Wheel strakes have around on tractors for over a century! I’m surprised they’re not more commonly used nowadays. We used to own a Fordson Standard N that had these fitted, and it was quite impressive how much extra traction they gave. Mind you, they weren’t a patch on the full steel lug wheels that you could also fit on those tractors!
‘d be curious to know the gain. But on a 4WD tractor, and considering the width ad the depth of this system, I think the additional adherence is very small. Weight on rear wheels would be a better solution as its very easy to install and remove, and do not require any maintenance.
