Laura, you could always replace those worn pointed shovels with the ones from the wings that’s not being used anyway.
When we moved from Indiana with no wind and lots of trees to North Platte in 1953, the constant wind almost drove my Mom crazy. The other thing was the dust storms that you could see coming for 10 or 15 miles. We would run inside and put wet towels on the windows to keep the gritty dust out of the house. It was still the best place I ever lived and grow up.
