That’s a really good price for what you got. There are 3 upgrades I would want to do, the first is leveling feet to get the mill off the ground. The next two are not as important, but still, very useful. After getting it off the ground, I would get an electric starter for the engine, and a power feed so I could let the mill do most of the work for me.
A helpful tip – after you get a little bit in to your cut, take a chisel or a wood shim and hammer it in-between the pieces toward the beginning of the cut to help prevent the pinching on the blade and in turn ease the strain on motor, baring’s and the blade itself. It will also give a cleaner cut because the machine shouldn’t wobble so much towards the end of the cut. Most of all though the saw will last longer with less maintenance. but all and all, I wish I could be doing the same thing that you guys are. Good luck
