What Happens When Pilots Can’t Land on a US Aircraft Carrier at Too High Speed?

I was in the Navy but never on an aircraft. However, I remember that absolutely everybody took fire drills and fire-fighting training 100% seriously onboard ship. Just about every other aspect of Navy life had some joking around or goldbrickers. But there seemed to be a mutual understanding that fire was a serious business. The USNavy & Marine pilot training is the Best in the world. Months of training physically & Mentally. All college graduates. The “Wash-out” rate is unbelievable. 1 out of Every 100 or more even qualify for the flight program. I used to work with the DUNKER.
