Thanks Zack and Jojo for sharing the ups and downs of your daily grind. My dad had grown up farming but transferred to trucking and moved to the city, where I was raised as a ‘city slicker’. We helped my grandfather and uncle who remained in the country as needed to cut hay and tobacco. My grandparents on my dad’s side owned a farm that became a ‘century farm’ due to a century of farming on the land. Y’all take care.
Farming of any kind is usually some of the hardest work you’ll find. I ran my cousins dairy farm for a week so that he could go on vacation. We milked 70 head three times a day. Wore us out. Keep smiling Jojo! You’re doing some great work! Get some rest, sometime!
You make harvest looks so easy! Here in Michigan we have small fields and we harvest corn when it’s below 28% dry corn for us is anything under 20%. Everything has to run through a dryer.
